You fight your way through, refusing to succumb to the crowd. You keep walking, fearing the mob will overtake you. You’re making headway, when all of a sudden, there’s someone right in front of you. You fall back, forever lost in the crowd.
I hate going up and down stairs in school, and I have to do it every day. Unfortunately, I have a schedule that makes me go use the stairs five times a day. Five times. I wouldn’t really mind the stairs if it wasn’t for the crowd of people that are always there.
The stairs are continuously full and it gets very irritating using them all the time, especially the ones inside. The stairs on the inside of the building aren’t as wide as the ones outside, and it is so frustrating when everyone is using them at once. This is even worse when the people around you have no consideration or respect for personal space.
Another contributor to the horror that is the stairs is the fact that there is always someone going the opposite way you are, and this can cause problems, especially when people don’t use the stairs the right way. Yes, there is a right way to use the stairs, and most people use them properly. Then, you have the little rebels who don’t want to wait to go up and down the stairs and use them incorrectly. It’s obnoxious and, respectfully, someone should stop that.
When you are going up and down the stairs, there is an unspoken rule that you stay to the right. If everyone else is doing it, then why is it so difficult for all you little rebels out there? It’s not cute. Every day when I use the stairs, everything is going great, and then there’s a surprise person right in front of me going the opposite direction. What do you think you’re doing?
Not only is doing this extremely annoying and unnecessary, but it can also be extremely dangerous. I almost fell down the stairs the other day because some random person going the wrong way plowed into me. Um…you’re in my way! This whole rebellion thing needs to stop…like now.
